The Carter County Health Department is inviting the community to take part in the 2025 Aetna® Health Day, a one-day wellness event focused on providing essential health services—all free of charge.
Scheduled for Wednesday, July 10, the event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Carter County Health Department, located at 105 Robert and Mary Street in Grayson.
Aetna® Better Health of Kentucky and Kare Mobile are partnering to offer a wide range of services throughout the day. Highlights include: Dental care provided by Kare Mobile, health screenings, free lunch for participants, and more helpful health-focused resources.
Community members are encouraged to bring friends and family, and those interested in receiving dental services are strongly encouraged to register in advance to ensure an appointment. Spots are limited, and mobile appointments must be confirmed online at https://app.dentalflo.com/patient or by scanning the QR code on the event flyer.

Today marks the final opportunity this week for residents in Western Carter County to take advantage of the county-wide clean-up campaign, as dumpsters will be available at the Carter County Maintenance Garage along US 60 until 2:30 p.m. The Solid Waste Department reminds all participants that dumpster access has now returned to its regular three-day weekly schedule and urges the public to follow the updated disposal guidelines.
A number of items will not be accepted, including refrigerators, deep freezers, televisions, household garbage, paint, tires, and batteries. In addition, all items must be either bagged or boxed — loose trash will not be collected.
The Carter County Clean-Up campaign operates on a rotating schedule, providing disposal opportunities for both the eastern and western ends of the county. After today’s event, dumpsters will return to the maintenance garage in Grayson from June 25th through the 27th.
This valuable community service is made possible by the Carter County Solid Waste Department, who continue to support these efforts to keep our neighborhoods clean, safe, and beautiful.
