A pair of summer concerts are coming to Grayson as part of the 2026 Summer Concert Series at Kentucky Christian University.
The series will open Friday, June 5th at 7:00 p.m. with bluegrass and gospel favorites Dailey & Vincent, performing at Nash Chapel on the KCU campus.
Then on Thursday, July 16th at 7:00 p.m., contemporary Christian artist Patrick Mayberry will take the stage, joined by special guest Natalie Layne. That concert is part of the university’s “Summer in the Son” programming.
Tickets for both performances will be available beginning March 2nd. Proceeds from the concert series will go toward student scholarships at Kentucky Christian University.

A program designed to help Carter County farmers manage the cost of weed control this spring is now underway.
The Carter County Soil Conservation District has announced its 2026 Spring Chemical Cost Share Program, which will provide a 50/50 reimbursement for certain herbicide purchases used in the county’s noxious weed control efforts.
Under the program, any Carter County resident with a Carter County farm number may qualify to receive reimbursement for chemical purchases, up to 80 dollars per farm number.
Officials say there are a few requirements that participants will need to follow. Purchases must have been made on or after March first, and applicants must provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt along with documentation showing the payment method used.
Cash purchases will not be accepted for reimbursement, and documentation must show that the purchase was made using a credit card, debit card, or check.
The Soil Conservation District says reimbursements will be processed once each month for those who participate, and the program will continue until the available funding has been exhausted.
Receipts and documentation should be submitted to Courtney Bond at the Carter County Soil Conservation District office, located at 526 East Main Street in Grayson.

A special afternoon of music and community support is coming to our region later this month, as friends, musicians, and bluegrass fans come together for an event honoring one of the area’s own.
“Bluegrass for the Bo-Man” will take place Saturday, March 28th at the Boyd County High School Auditorium in Ashland, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
The benefit concert is being held in support of longtime bluegrass champion, radio host, and festival emcee Bo McCarty, affectionately known throughout the music community as “Bo-Man.” Artists from across the region are donating their time and talent to help raise funds supporting his continued care and recovery.
The afternoon will feature performances from several well-known regional acts including Southern Legacy, Neo-Grass featuring Kevin Denney and Caleb Daugherty, Hammertowne, Chris Davis, Blue Debut, Step Into the Blue, Colonel Dreydon Gordon, Rob McNurlin, and String Therapy.
Tickets are twenty dollars at the door, with seating provided, and children under twelve will be admitted free with a paid adult. A silent auction is also planned, with items available beginning at one o’clock that afternoon.
Organizers say the event is a chance for the bluegrass community—and the wider Tri-State area—to give back to someone who has spent years supporting musicians and bringing people together through music.
