Today, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., the center will host a job fair at 955 Hallwood Drive in Morehead. Known as one of Kentucky’s top-ranked midsize employers by Forbes in 2025, Mountain Comprehensive Care Center is offering on-site hiring for a variety of positions. Opportunities range from mental health associates and licensed therapists to case managers, community support staff, and more.
Applicants are encouraged to bring resumes and identification, and open interviews will be available throughout the day.

A brand-new tradition is about to take root in downtown Grayson. The Nook and Cranny Coffeehouse is inviting the community to gather this Saturday, August 30th at 6 p.m. for their very first open mic night.
It’s an evening designed for local voices and local talent — whether you’re a poet with words to share, a songwriter with new music, or a guitarist ready to strum a few tunes. The coffeehouse says all you need to bring is your creativity — they’ll take care of the rest.
It’s more than just a performance; it’s a chance to connect, to share stories, and to celebrate the arts right here at home.

Here’s your reminder about a traffic advisory from District 9 of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet that should be wrapping up today. Over the last 2 days State highway crews in Greenup County have temporarily closed KY 3307 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at milepoint 3.2. Contractors there are installing guardrail where the slide repair was completed. All thru traffic should detour using US 23 and KY 2.
Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones, and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling. For up-to-date traffic information, go to goky.ky.gov or use the WAZE app.
Once again work in the area is scheduled to wrap up by the end of work hours today.

Celebrate Recovery is designed to help those facing addiction, anger, depression, emotional stress, and a wide range of life struggles. Each week includes both large group teachings and small group discussions, giving attendees a chance to connect and grow in a safe, structured space.
No matter where you are in your journey, all are welcome, and a free meal is offered to everyone who attends.
