The Olive Hill City Council will be holding their regularly scheduled monthly meeting for February today inside the Olive Hill Senior/Community Center this evening at 6pm. On the agenda for this meeting will be a resolution for KYMEA, the second reading on a remote participation in meeting ordinance, a letter for the opening of a new account for the tourism tax funds, and an open discussion.
Following the open discussion departmental reports from Olive Hill’s police, fire, and code enforcement departments will be heard before the treasurer’s report for January 2025 is given which includes the bank balance report and the utility and general fund check registers. Finally, an executive session will round out this evening’s meeting in accordance with KRS 61.810.
Once again this will be the February regularly scheduled monthly meeting for the Olive Hill City Council at 6pm this evening in the Olive Hill Senior/Community Center.

We would like to remind everyone about the ongoing Fostering Possibilities initiative that works diligently to provide for those in need. The program works with the selfless mission to provide new clothing and other resources to local foster children along with children in kinship placements. This is done to help foster a feeling of self-esteem and belonging in the children during a difficult time of change in their lives.
The Fostering Possibilities boutique is located at 310 Carol Malone Blvd in Grayson, and is accepting any and all donations from generous members of the community to help them better serve the foster youth of Carter County. All donations help stock the boutique location to allow the initiative to serve one child at a time. Officials with the program want everyone to know that any amount – no matter how small – can help make a huge difference towards this mission. Celebrate Recovery, a weekly meeting series held at the First Church of Christ in Grayson on Pomeroy Street, will begin tonight’s meeting at 6:30pm. At the meetings those in attendance will learn the secrets of victorious living over issues such as: addictions, anger, depression, mental stresses, and much more. Large and small group meetings will be held each week. All are welcome to attend, and free food will be offered to all who are in attendance.
