At the tail end of last week the Carter County School District took another big step in the process of their upcoming consolidation. As posted by the District on their official Facebook page and website it appears we are down to the two finalist choices for the mascot of the joint county-wide high school. According to the post the two mascot finalists have been narrowed down to the Coyotes and the Aces.
The next item on the agenda that deals with the process will be the selection of color schemes for these finalist offerings. Public voting for the schemes will be held today and an open link can be found on the Carter County Schools official Facebook page along with found on the district website at cartercountyschools.org. The color scheme choices include blue, black, silver, and white for both the coyotes and aces with optional schemes of purple, black, silver, and white for the coyotes; and black, gold, blue, and white for the aces.
After today’s public voting for the colors a final vote for the mascot choice will take place at the end of this week – that final vote is set to include the winner color scheme for each mascot as well.
All of this information, along with some video mockups to go along with each choice, can be found at the district website.
