Carter County clean up dumpster will be on the EAST END this week and open Wednesday through Friday (10/14 - 10/16) 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM

There’s another traffic advisory from our friends at District 9 of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. According to officials from the department highway crews will temporarily close part of KY 1512 (milepoint 0) at KY 773 to dig through the highway and replace nine drainage pipes underneath until 7:30 PM this evening. Traffic can detour onto county road, Williams Creek Road, (milepoint 1.80) that runs into KY 1654 and come out in Rush.

If additional time is needed for drainage pipe replacement, Wednesday, July 24 and Thursday, July 25 will utilize the daytime closure schedule again. There will be no thru traffic during the closure. Message boards will be in place to inform the public.

Road work schedules may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
