Carter Caves State Resort Park is celebrating the week of Independence Day with a full slate of exciting and family-friendly activities now through July 6! From thrilling cave tours and hands-on workshops to living history and outdoor games, there’s something for everyone to enjoy during Summer Adventure Week.
Starting Tuesday, July 1st, the fun continues at noon with a Wildlife Station at the Welcome Center, followed at 2:00 PM by the always-popular Bat Cave Wild Tour. This tour is open to ages 8 and up, with tickets priced at $20. Be sure to bring your closed-toe shoes!
On Wednesday, July 2nd, visitors can enjoy Geology 101 at 1:00 PM, followed by a thrilling Cascade Blacklight Tour at 6:00 PM, which is open to those 8 and older. Tickets for that experience are $25.
Thursday, July 3rd offers a creative twist with a 4th of July Tie-Dye event at 2:00 PM (with items priced between $5 and $15), another Bat Cave Wild Tour at 2:00, and a spooky Ghost & Legends Tour at 6:00 PM.
Friday brings out the history buffs with a Black Powder Rifle Demonstration at 10:00 AM and Living History presentations starting at 12:30 PM. At 3:30, guests can try their hand at Corn Husk Doll Making for just $5. Later that evening, Carter Caves encourages visitors to head to nearby Olive Hill for their community 4th of July Celebration on Main Street.
Saturday, July 5th begins bright and early with Intro to Caving: Cascade Cave at 10:00 AM, followed by a Tie-Dye Station at noon, a fun and educational Turtle Talk at 2:00 PM, and another Bat Cave Wild Tour at 2:00. A Corn Hole Tournament caps off the day at 5:30 PM at Cascade Cave, with a $20 entry fee per team.
The week wraps up on Sunday, July 6th with Nature Journaling at 9:30 AM, a Mudpuppy Crawl for kids aged 6–13 at noon (cost is $15), and one final Bat Cave Wild Tour at 2:00 PM.

Celebrate Recovery is designed to help those facing addiction, anger, depression, emotional stress, and a wide range of life struggles. Each week includes both large group teachings and small group discussions, giving attendees a chance to connect and grow in a safe, structured space.
