Motorists who travel through Boyd County should be aware of an upcoming road closure that could affect traffic in the area.
Officials say Campbells Branch Road between U.S. Route 23 and Kentucky Route 757 has been closed indefinitely with the closure beginning on Monday, March 9th.
According to county officials, the closure will affect the section of Campbells Branch Road that connects directly to U.S. 23. Contractors will be on site to barricade all access from the highway, preventing vehicles from entering that portion of the roadway.
Drivers who normally use Campbells Branch Road to reach Old U.S. 23 will need to plan an alternate route. Motorists are advised to instead use Kentucky Route 2842, which connects to U.S. 23 further south of Campbells Branch.
This closure is being put in place with public safety as the top priority, allowing crews to properly secure the area and ensure motorists are not traveling through a location where conditions may not be safe.
Drivers are encouraged to watch for posted barricades and signage, slow down in the area, and follow the designated detour routes.
Again, Campbells Branch Road between U.S. 23 and Old U.S. 23 in Boyd County has been closed indefinitely.

Openings are available in front desk services, housekeeping, recreation, kitchen and dining room staff, swimming pool operations, campground services, maintenance, mini golf, the business office, and the Welcome Center.
Organizers say the park is looking for individuals who want to be part of the Kentucky State Parks team and help create memorable experiences for visitors throughout the busy travel season.
Again, the Carter Caves Job Fair will take place March 11th from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Lewis Caveland Lodge. Those interested are encouraged to attend and learn more about available opportunities.

A pair of summer concerts are coming to Grayson as part of the 2026 Summer Concert Series at Kentucky Christian University.
The series will open Friday, June 5th at 7:00 p.m. with bluegrass and gospel favorites Dailey & Vincent, performing at Nash Chapel on the KCU campus.
Then on Thursday, July 16th at 7:00 p.m., contemporary Christian artist Patrick Mayberry will take the stage, joined by special guest Natalie Layne. That concert is part of the university’s “Summer in the Son” programming.
Tickets for both performances will be available beginning March 2nd. Proceeds from the concert series will go toward student scholarships at Kentucky Christian University.
