Attention local artists — here’s your chance to shine. Grayson Octoberfest and Black Water Studio are teaming up to bring art to Main Street with the very first ARToberfest Art Show, happening Saturday, October 25th at 112 West Main Street in Grayson.
This special pop-up gallery will celebrate artists of all levels and backgrounds, featuring painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, glass, textile, and digital art. Submissions are free, and you can submit up to three pieces—just make sure your work is ready to display and labeled with your name on the back.
The deadline to submit is October 22nd, so don’t wait! You can drop off your artwork Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Grayson City Building, or at Black Water Studio on Saturdays from 11 to 3. Need a different time? Just reach out and they’ll make arrangements.
There’s no set theme, but since this is a community event, artwork should be suitable for all audiences. Artists ages 14 and up are welcome to enter, and awards will include a People’s Choice Award, where visitors vote for their favorite piece.

It’s almost time to crown new royalty in Grayson. The Grayson Octoberfest Queens Pageant 2025 takes center stage on Saturday, October 25th at noon, and it’s all happening right at the main Octoberfest stage in downtown Grayson.
This beloved hometown tradition celebrates poise, confidence, and community pride — giving local girls a shining moment in the spotlight. The pageant is open to contestants from newborn through age 18, or up to high school seniors, with divisions for every age group.
Each year, the Grayson Octoberfest Pageant brings together families, friends, and neighbors to cheer on participants as they showcase their personalities, confidence, and hometown spirit — and this year promises to be bigger and brighter than ever.
Winners will receive their crowns and sashes during one of the biggest weekends of the year in Grayson — surrounded by food vendors, live entertainment, crafts, and all the fun that comes with the annual Octoberfest celebration.

The weekly meeting series is held every Tuesday evening at the First Church of Christ on Pomeroy Street in Grayson, with this week’s session beginning at 6:30 p.m. The program offers a welcoming and judgment-free environment where individuals can take steps toward healing and victorious living.
Celebrate Recovery is designed to help those facing addiction, anger, depression, emotional stress, and a wide range of life struggles. Each week includes both large group teachings and small group discussions, giving attendees a chance to connect and grow in a safe, structured space.
No matter where you are in your journey, all are welcome, and a free meal is offered to everyone who attends.
