With the calendar officially saying February the next thing on everyone’s mind is the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday. Thankfully there are several planned Valentine’s events planned right here in Carter County. One will be hosted by your Public Library in the form of a Valentine’s Day Party on Friday, February 7th that will see all participants decorate a special Valentine’s box. The party gets underway at 6pm on the 7th. Those in charge of the event will be providing the supplies but anyone who has a shoebox available is asked to bring one with them. It has also been announced that a Olive Hill branch Valentine’s Day Party is planned as well – however it is scheduled for Friday, February 14th. At the Olive Hill party all participants will be decorating a Valentine’s Day Bag, exchanging cards, enjoying a story and activity, some delicious snacks, and even decorating cookies. All of the festivities will begin at 4pm on the 14th.

All of this and more can be found at the Grayson branch of our Carter County Public Library at 116 West Main Street in Grayson and the Olive Hill branch at 110 Comet Drive in Olive Hill.
