Those looking for new career opportunities are invited to a special hiring event later this month in Grayson.
Cintas Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, will host a Hiring Event and Facility Tour on Friday, January 23rd, from 9 a.m. until noon, at their Grayson facility located at 636 East Park Drive.
As part of a rotating series of hiring events across the region, Cintas is opening its doors to showcase its local operations and meet potential employees for several open positions. Job seekers will have the opportunity to tour the facility, speak directly with company representatives, and learn more about career growth and benefits.
Cintas is currently hiring for multiple positions, including garment processing, picking, high bay operators for first and third shifts, and third shift stocking. Company officials say they are looking for motivated individuals ready to become part of what they call an “employee-partner” culture.
Attendees can expect on-the-spot facility tours, conversations about available positions, and insight into working for a company that emphasizes teamwork and advancement.
Those planning to attend are encouraged to bring an updated resume. No appointment is required.

East Carter High School counselors are sharing important information for students and families planning to take dual credit college courses during the Spring 2026 semester.
Officials remind families that college course calendars do not always match the Carter County Schools calendar, especially when it comes to weather-related closures. Even if Carter County Schools are closed due to inclement weather, college classes may still be in session, particularly for students enrolled in on-campus dual credit courses.
Because of that, students and parents are encouraged to plan ahead and be aware of each college’s individual start dates.
For the Spring 2026 semester, dual credit courses begin on different days depending on the college. Ashland Community and Technical College will begin its spring term on January 12th, while Kentucky Christian University classes will start on January 14th.
School counselors stress that students enrolled in these programs are responsible for attending their college classes according to the college schedule, regardless of the high school calendar.
Families are encouraged to review these dates carefully, make transportation plans if needed, and reach out to school counselors with any questions about dual credit expectations, attendance, or scheduling.
This information is especially important for students taking courses on campus at the college, as those classes may require attendance even when local schools are closed.

The Carter County Clean-Up campaign continues this week, with crews operating on the West end of the county. Dumpsters will be available for public use at the county maintenance garage along US 60, and clean-up personnel will be on hand to help unload items each day from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, today through Friday.
As a reminder, the list of items not accepted has been updated. Crews will not collect refrigerators, deep freezers, televisions, household garbage, paint, tires, or batteries. And all materials brought to the site must be bagged or boxed — no loose items will be accepted. The County Clean-Up runs on a rotating schedule, alternating between the East and West ends of Carter County every two weeks. After this week’s collection, dumpsters are scheduled to return to the Grayson maintenance garage from January 21st through the 23rd.
