Brian L. McDowell Sr., age 52, of Grayson, KY, passed away on November 14, 2025. Brian was born on December 22, 1972 in Portsmouth, OH and raised in South Shore, KY. The Son of Sonny McDowell and Verna Connelly.
Brian is proceeded in death with his father, Sonny McDowell, granddaughter, Aaliyah McDowell-Carter, grandparents, Ruth Connelly, Carl Connelly, Clyde McDowell, and Nellie McDowell.
Brian is survived by his wife of 33 years, Niki McDowell, 5 children, Kimberly (Anthony) Strond, Ashleigh McDowell, Emilee (Eddie) Littleton, Brian McDowell Jr., and Ethan McDowell. 5 Grandchildren, Leighton, Maevry, Harper & Miley Littleton & Khloe King. His mother, Verna Connelly, brother, Jon McDowell, and many others who loved and respected him.
Brian served in the US Navy, where he met his wife and started building their life together. He leaves behind many hearts he has touched throughout his years. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and son. He took pride in everything he did, whether it was coaching his boys on and off the football field to his career as a millwright.
The love that Brian shared with everyone who knew him is one that will be remembered and cherished forever. He was one of a kind and will be deeply missed.
In remembrance of Brian, there will be a memorial service for him on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. with Military Honors atThe Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast, 100 Veterans Memorial Dr. Grayson, KY 41143.
