Carol Ann Mason Edington, age 68 of Vanceburg, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Southern Ohio Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Thursday, June 13, 1957, in Lewis County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Arthur Henry and Elizabeth Katherine Flack Mason.
Carol was a devoted wife, cherished mother and beloved grandmother whose kindness, generosity and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her. She led her life with an open heart, always ready to give, to comfort and to love without hesitation.
Her greatest joy was her family. She gave every bit of herself to ensure they felt that love each and every day. She enjoyed making every holiday special for all her babies and her adventures to Goodwill, Dollar Tree and weekend yard sales.
She will be deeply missed. She left a legacy of love that will remain in our hearts forever.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Gene Mason and one sister, Betty May Rowe.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Roger Dale Edington; three daughters, Kathy (Nelson) Blevins of Vanceburg, Kentucky, Dreama (Carlos) Tackett, Kimberly (Jeffery) Bare, all of Garrison, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren, Brett (Tonya), Haylee (Jeffrey), Dashne (Adam), Taylor (Tee-sah), Shaun (Cheryel), Summer (Josh), Selena (Ryan), Trey (Breanna), Bionka, Hunter (Tiffany), Amelia; 20 great-grandchildren; one sister, Connie Carpenter of Garrison, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends that will sadly miss her.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, December 12, 2025, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street, Vanceburg, Kentucky, with Brother Tony Corns officiating.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.,Thursday, December 11, 2025, and after 9 a.m., Friday, December 12, 2025, until the service hour at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg, Kentucky.
Brett Blevins, Taylor Blevins, Shaun Tackett, Trey Flinders, Hunter Tackett and Jeffrey Wagner will serve as pallbearers.
Adam Dummitt, Ryan Swingler, Josh Staggs and Jackie Blevins Jr. will serve as honorary pallbearers.
