Carolyn Jean Dyer Plank went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on June 16, 1955, to the late Roscoe Junior and Gladys Nolan Dyer. Carolyn lived a life devoted to her family. She was known for her love of traveling, Flea Marketing, yard selling, canning, sewing and spoiling her grandchildren. She touched and encouraged the life of everyone that knew her while sharing the love of God.
Carolyn was of Pentecostal faith, and trusted deeply in a personal relationship with Christ. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who took pride in her family. She loved to attend church services, house meetings and worship the Lord.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Brian Plank; one grandson, Drew Riffe; one great-granddaughter, Olive Brackins and three brothers, Mike, Roger and Elmer Dyer.
She is survived by one daughter, Tracie (Eric) Bentley of Garrison, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Tori, Alyssa, Madison, Tristan; 3 great-grandchilden, Kanton, Blakelee, Judston, she will be missed by many friends, family, her special dog, Milo; her cousins, Pat Dyer, Rodney Sartin Judy Killen and Cora Bayless who will all sadly miss her.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3 p.m., Friday, December 26, 2025, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street, Vanceburg, Kentucky, with Brother Jacob Sartain officiating. Burial will follow in Hannible Cemetery on Rock Run in Lewis County, Kentucky.
Friends may visit afer 1:30, Friday, December 26, 2025, until the service hour at Dickerson Funeral Home.
