Carrie Martha Middleton Gilbert, age 65, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025, at her residence.
She was born November 20, 1960, in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Harvey and Zelma Barker Middleton.
Carrie enjoyed playing Bingo, painting, working puzzels, traveling and spending time with her family and her Chapel House friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Richard Gilbert; two brothers, Larry Middleton, Harvey Middleton Jr.; three sisters, Rosemary James, Kathy Gilbert, Ruby Helton.
Carrie is survived by one son, Charles Gilbert of Grahn, Kentucky; four daughters, Carrie McClain of Salt Lick, Alice Ashlock of Crestwood, Kentucky, Connie Erwin of Grahn, Kentucky, Paula Herron of Grayson, Kentucky; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one brother, Danny Middleton of Grayson, Kentucky; five sisters, Janet Puckett of Morehead, Kentucky, Debra Steagall of Lexington, Kentucky, Darlene Hall of Rush, Kentucky, Tonya Sagraves of Grayson, Kentucky, Alberta Howard of Flatwoods, Kentucky; along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Bobby Burge officiating.
Friends may visit after 11 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2025, until the service hour at Globe Funeral Chapel.
