Charles Thomas “Tom” Stewart, age 65, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2025, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Born on September 8, 1960, in Jackson, Ohio, Tom was the beloved son of Mary Francis Cooper Stewart and the late Carl Raymond Stewart. He was a cherished brother, a loyal friend, and a gentle soul who touched the lives of many.
Tom was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Patricia Ann Stewart Caldwell, who welcomed him with open arms in the afterlife. He is survived by his devoted mother, Mary, and his sister, Cheryl Lynn Stewart, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. Tom also leaves behind a special friend, Randy Russell, and a host of friends and extended family who will deeply miss his warm spirit and kind nature.
A talented cook, Tom found joy in preparing meals and sharing them with those he loved. He had a special bond with his beloved cat, “Socks,” who brought him comfort and companionship. Tom’s laughter and gentle demeanor will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
In accordance with Tom’s wishes, he will be cremated, and a private memorial service will be held at a later date in the Jackson County Cemetery. The family invites those who wish to honor Tom’s memory to reflect on the joy he brought into their lives.
