Charles H. “Chuck” Blankenship, age 48, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Born on January 1, 1977, in Ashland, Chuck was the cherished son of the late Herbert W. Blankenship and Harriett E. Blake Grant.
A proud graduate of Ashland Paul Blazer High School, Chuck was known for his musical talent, playing the tuba in the marching band, where he formed lasting friendships and created unforgettable memories. His passion for mechanics led him to earn a degree in auto mechanics, a craft he enjoyed and excelled in.
Chuck was a devoted husband to his loving wife of 24 years, Sandra Morris Blankenship. Together, they built a beautiful family, which includes their son, Charles Leslie William Blankenship of Ashland, and their daughter, Naomi Teagan Rayne Blankenship of Canonsburg. He is also survived by his beloved sisters, Lillie, Elizabeth (Matt), and Hayley, along with a host of extended family and friends who will deeply mourn his passing.
A memorial service to celebrate Chuck’s life will be held later. The family appreciates the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Malone Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
