Clyde Estes Johnson, 83, of Rush went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at the University of Louisville Hospital. Clyde was born on September 30, 1941 in Ashland, KY a son of the late, Clyde Estes Sr. and Betty Sue Worley Johnson. In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by a brother, David Johnson and a brother-in-law, Raymond Bell. Clyde was a 1959 graduate of Ashland High School. After high school Clyde served his country honorably in the US Army as a Ranger in the 82nd Airborne from 1959-1963. He later went on to run Johnson’s Landscaping and Johnson’s Equipment company. He also served as a small engine repair instructor. Clyde was a member of Wilson Creek Baptist Church. Clyde is survived by his loving wife, Dixie Trevathan Johnson; a son, Tom (Mary) Johnson of Proctorville, OH; a daughter, Mariann (Amaury) Mota of Rush; a grandchild, Keenan Mullins of Louisville two bonus children Ryan Carroll and Elizabeth (Zack) Adkins & and grandson, Noah, a great-grandchild, Lord Johnson; a sister, Lana Bell, a sister-in-law, Pam Johnson and several friends and extended family who all mourn his passing.
