Debra Kaye Rittenberry Thoroughman age 66 of South Shore, Kentucky, passed away June 11, 2026, at her residence.
She was born August 15, 1959, in Crawford County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert and Cora Jewell Grogan Rittenberry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son; Rick Lee Riddle; two brothers Clarence Rittenberry, Walter Rittenberry; four sisters Betty Evans, Charlene Shope, Christine Shope, Freda Meade; two grandchildren Oakleigh Ann Thoroughman, Roxianna September Thoroughman and her mother-in-law Thelma Bloomfield.
Left to cherish her memory by her loving husband of 50 years , Handford Thoroughman; Three Sons, Andy (Malinda) Thoroughman of Bucyrus, Ohio, Hanford (Sierra) Thoroughman of Garrison, Kentucky, William (Tina) Thoroughman of Maysville, Kentucky; One Daughter, Brandy (Jamie) Ginn, of South Shore, Kentucky; 15 grandchildren; Brooklyn, Cheyanne, Taylor (Brittany) Chris (Abbey) Wyatt, Madison (Dustin), Coreena (Kyle), Ryan, Aubrey, Chance, Peytynn, Brentlee, Dailee, Waylon, Wrenleigh; 19 great grandchildren; Conner, Bryson, Hunter, Braylah, Aden, Parker, Paisley, Ariella, Grace, Aubrielle, Addi, Aubrey, Brayden, Emberlee, Sophia, Kendall, Kolsyn, Jaxson, Brantley; One great-grandson on the way Bennett; one brother Gertis Rittenberry of Bucyrus, Ohio; One sister; Shirley Witten (Alan) of Mansfield, Ohio Along with several nieces and nephews and many others who will sadly miss her.
Debra embodied the essence of love and kindness, radiating warmth and joy to every soul she met, and her remarkable life served as a profound testament to the life-changing power of love and connection, as she poured her heart and soul into every precious moment with her children and grandchildren, who were the very center of her universe, she reveled in the joy of discovering hidden treasures at garage sales along the route 30 corridor with her sister and nephew. Debra will be eternally cherished for her infinite compassion and her luminous smile that brightened every room she graced.
At the family’s request, there will be no services at this time, but a Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date.
