Dinah Jean Kennedy Walters, age 65, of Ashland, Kentucky, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 13, 1960, in Grayson, KY, Dinah was the cherished daughter of the late Donald Joe and Juanita Porter Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Jill Burton, and her brother, Mark Kennedy, both of whom she held dear in her heart.
A proud and devoted Christian, Dinah was a long-time member of the Assembly of God Church, where her faith and commitment to her community shone brightly. Her unwavering belief and love for the Lord were evident in all aspects of her life, inspiring those around her to embrace kindness and compassion.
Dinah is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, William Dean Walters, who was her steadfast partner and greatest supporter. She is also survived by her daughter, Valerie Jean Walters, and her precious granddaughter, Kennedy Alexis Rose Walters, who brought immense joy and pride to her life. Additionally, Dinah leaves behind two brothers, John Kennedy of Ashland and Donald Joe Kennedy II of Hitchins, along with a host of friends and extended family who will deeply mourn her passing.
Dinah’s warmth, laughter, and loving spirit will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
A memorial service will be 2 pm Tuesday August 5, 2025 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Pastor David Webb officiating. Visitation will be 12 noon Tuesday until the service hour.
