Floyd Dean McCann, age 86, of Vanceburg, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation.
He was born April 2, 1939, at Trinty, Kentucky, a son of the late Harold and Beatrice McCall McCann.
Dean was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and a member of Salem Community Church, Little Cabin Creek Road, Tollesboro, Kentucky, and loved going to church.
He was a farmer, carpenter, tobacco warehouse floor person and served 52 years as a director of Farmers Home Mutual Insurance Company of Mason and Fleming Counties. He enjoyed going out to eat, visiting with his neighbors and friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 21 years, Evelyn Coalgrove McCann; two brothers, Carl McCann, Don (Ellen) McCann and two sisters, Kathleen (Jerry) McCox, Darlene Benning.
Dean is survived by three brothers, Tom (Kitty) McCann, William (Pat) McCann, Jim (Sue McCann; one sister-in-law, Daisy McCann; two stepsons, Patrick Colegrove, Matthew Colegrove; two stepdaughters, Tammy (David) Ramey, Beth (Brent) Conley, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57, Tollesboro, Kentucky, with Brother Danny Butler officiating. Burial will be follow in Hillcrest Garden of Memories in Mason County.
Friends may visit after 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2025, until the service hour at Tollesboro Funeral Home.
Matthew Colegrove, Patrick Colegrove, Perry Polley, Andrew Story, Matthew Story and Jerry Underwood will serve as pallbearers.
