Gary Shelton Blaine, age 83, of Quincy, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Southern Ohio Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
He was born July 29, 1942, in Lewis County, Kentucky, a son of the late Calvin Thomas and Guyneth Armstrong Blaine.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 25 years, Nancy Budwit Blaine; one brother Marty Blaine and one sister, Hildreth Polston.
Gary retired from Coke Cola Company with 26 years of service and was a member of St. Paul Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing, dirt track racing, listening to blue grass music, antique car shows and spending time with his family.
Gary is survived by one son, Gary (Gail) Blaine of Quincy, Kentucky; two step-sons, Edward Sabourin of Allegan, Michigan, David Sabourin of Mt. Morris, Michigan; five grandchildren, Isaac (Jada) Blaine, Conor (Cecilia) Blaine, Joshua Sabourin, Jessica Sabourin Todd, Samantha Sabourin Smith, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue, Garrison, Kentucky, with Brother Tom Logan and Brother Larry Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Green Cemetery on Rt. 8 in St. Paul, Kentucky.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m., Thursday, July. 2, 2026, until the service hour at the funeral home.
Isaac Blaine, Conor Blaine, Aaron Polston, Gary Blaine, Aaron Kuhner and Michael Ratliff will serve as pallbearers.
