George Michael Clevenger, 71, of Ashland, KY passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at the UK Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. George was born February 13, 1954, in Grayson, KY a son of the late, George and Chloe Blevins Clevenger. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Marie Bias; two brothers, Johnny Clevenger and Jerry Clevenger.
George retired after a full career of driving a semi-truck. George enjoyed riding his motorcycle, tinkering around on old cars and trucks, and relaxing with a good cup of coffee. George had special spot in his heart for dogs, especially his boxer who he named “Baby”.
George is survived by his loving wife of forty-five years, Sarah Longhauser Clevenger; one daughter, Patricia (Timothy) Bias of Prichard, WV; two sons, Barry (Shelia) Cantrell of Cincinnati, OH and Michael Cantrell of Ashland, KY; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bob (Betty) Clevenger of Catlettsburg, KY and Terry Clevenger of New Richmond, OH; three sisters, Bertha (Bud) Register, Brenda Hutchins, and Judy Clevenger all of Alabama; and a host of extended family and friends that will mourn his passing.
To honor George’s wishes there will be no public funeral services. Malone Funeral Home in Grayson, KY is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the arrangements.
