Jack Wayne Cushard, age 72, of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Sunday, April 19, 1953, in Lewis County, Kentucky, a son of the late William and Verna Harris Cushard.
Jack was a truck driver for 51 years and loved the open road. He attended Freewill Baptist Church in Flemingsburg, Kentucky. He enjoyed watching car racing, westerns and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sarah Dawn Cushard; two sisters, Barbara Ann Cushard and Mary Cushard McClurg.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda Gilliam Cushard; one son Darrin (Emily) Cushard of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; two daughters, Jackie King of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Julie (John) James of Laporte, Indiana; 7 grandchildren, Caleb, Kayleana, Mikaila, Frankie, Austin, Andrew, Gracie; 10 great-grandchilden; four brothers, Jerry Cushard, Johnny Cushard, Timmy (Crystal) Cushard all of Vanceburg, Kentucky, Mark (Cheryl) Cushardof Fulton, Ohio; one sister, Cathy (Joey) Clark of Portsmouth, Ohio, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, July 11, 2025, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57, Tollesboro, Kentucky, with Brother Joe Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, on Holly.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m., Friday, July 11, 2025, until the service hour at Tollesboro Funeral Home.
Caleb Gossner, Frankie King, Austin King, Andrew Cushard, Matthew Cooley and Ryan Cushard will serve as pallbearers.
George Gilliam, Johnny Cushard, Davey White, Grant Cushard will serve as honorary pallbearers.
