James E. Sprouse, age 39, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
He was born July 17, 1986, in Boyd County, Kentucky, a son of Tammy Sprouse of Webbville and the late George Eddie Sprouse.
Eddie enjoyed fishing, riding his atvs, and going to church. He was an amazing musician, especially on the guitar and drums. He loved bonfires and spending time with his children, family and friends. He always made people laugh and could light up the room. He will forever be missed.
He was a member of the Freedom Tabernacle Church in Webbville, Kentucky.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Elisabeth Bocook Sprouse; two sons, Christopher Sprouse, Gabrial Sprouse both of Grayson, Kentucky; one brother, Brandon Sprouse of Grayson, Kentucky; two sisters, Brittany Sprouse of Webbville, Kentucky, Shelby (Emery) Collins of Grayson, Kentucky, along with several nieces and nephews who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Freedom Tabernacle Church, Webbville, Kentucky, with Pastor Matthew Adams and Brother Roy Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Freedom Tabernacle Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 6 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2026, and after 9 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2026, until the service hour at Freedom Tabernacle Church.
Jimmy Adams, Brandon Sprouse, Kenny Fraley, Nick Hays, Tony Hayes, James Turner, Caleb Sturgill and Derek Yates will serve as pallbearers.
