Jason Nathaniel Porter, 47, of Brushy Creek in Elliott County, KY went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday December 23, 2024 at his residence. Jason was born February 9, 1977 in Ashland, KY a son of Gary and Mary Ann Porter of Sandy Hook. Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Madison โJuneโ and Corena Ison Porter; and his paternal grandparents, H.H. and Della Porter.
Jason worked for the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 521, JATC out of Huntington, WV for over 28 years. Jason was proud to be a father to his precious son, Hudson Dean Porter of Lima, OH. Jason was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing; cooking and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents and son, Jason is survived by a brother, Shane (Angela) Porter of Morehead, KY; a niece and nephew, Lilly and Nicholas Porter; special cousins, Wes, Robyn, and Brody Tobias; and a host of extended family and friends who all mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 1 pm Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Bro. Jesse McDavid and Bro. Michael Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Porter Family Cemetery off Johnson Creek. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Monday and after 9 am Tuesday until the time of service.
