Jessie Darrell McDaniel, age 82, of Tollesboro, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at his residence.
He was born September 22, 1942, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late Drew T. and Anna Mae Burchett McDaniel.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Loretta Bevens; five brothers, Walter McDaniel, Ben McDaniel, Bill McDaniel, Ted McDaniel and Jim McDaniel; three sisters, Dolly Branaham, Myrtle Thomas and Goldie Coleman.
He enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler, loafing with his friends, playing pool and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy Ruth Griffith McDaniel; two daughters, Jessie Lynn (James) Botkins of Vanceburg, Kentucky, Tammy Patricia (Daniel) Stamper of Camp Dix, Kentucky; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchilden; three sisters, Retha Gay of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Bessie Legg of Mansfield, Ohio, Martha McGlone of Olive Hill, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held, 12 noon, Friday, April 11, 2025, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services. 11918, KY 57, Tollesboro, Kentucky with Brother Phil Cropper officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Garden of Memories in Mason County, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday, April 10, 2025, and after 9 a.m., Friday, April 11, 2025, until the service hour at Tollesboro Funeral Home.
James Botkins, Daniel Stamper, Jonathon Bevens, Jeremy Bevens, Dylan Botkins and Garrett Stamper will serve as pallbearers.
