John Monroe Elliott, 76 of Grayson went to be with his Lord on Sunday June 29, 2025 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. John was born July 9, 1948 in Fultz, KY; a son of the late Robert Oddie and Goldie Ison Elliott. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Lou Sagraves Elliott; a grandson, Casey Joe Elliott; three brothers, Bob Elliott, Ray Elliott and George Elliott; and two sisters, Helen Romans and Shirley Ingles. John retired from IGA in Elliott County after 40 years of service. John was of the United Baptist faith. John is survived by a son, William “Bill” (Carla) Elliott; a daughter, Kayla (Jeff) Elliott of Elliott County; a sister, Sue Ingles of Lexington; three sisters-in-law, Rosemary (Red) Hatton of Ashland, Janet (Carroll) Jordan of Grayson and Wilma (Danny) Middleton of Grayson; one brother-in-law, Phillip (Tonia) Sagraves of Grayson; a niece and nephew who he claimed as his adopted kids, Anthony Jordan of Grayson and Tammy Willoughby of Elliott County; two adopted grandchildren, Zack and Aarion Jordan all of Grayson; and several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends who all mourn his passing. Funeral services will be 12 noon Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Bro. Bo Mayo, Bro. Lewis Baier, Bro. Steve Jordan and Bro. Terry Marshall officiating.
