Jonda Pfau, age 45, of Grayson, KY, peacefully left this world on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY. Born on March 1, 1980, Jonda was the beloved daughter of Diana Bellew Pfau and the late John Matthew Pfau. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Keith Burchett.
Jonda was a vibrant spirit, known for her infectious smile and unwavering work ethic. As a talented hairdresser and proud owner of her salon, Jonda’s Place, she built lasting relationships with her clients, treating each one like family. Her passion for her craft was evident in every haircut and style, and she took great joy in making others feel beautiful.
Family was at the heart of Jonda’s life. She cherished every moment that was spent with her children, Brandon Fultz of Bellevue, Nebraska, and Brianna Burchett of Grayson, KY, and was a loving grandmother to her granddaughter, Brynley Clapp. Jonda loved creating memories through family vacations and adventures, always seeking new experiences to share with her loved ones.
In addition to her mother and children, Jonda is survived by her two brothers, Matthew Pfau of Grayson and Daniel Pfau of Pennsylvania, and her sister, Melissa “Missy” (Justin) Moore of Georgetown, OH. A special friend, Scott Preston of Grayson; and host of extended family and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Jonda had a creative spirit that extended beyond her work; she enjoyed painting and was known for her exceptional cooking skills and personality, often bringing joy to gatherings with her delicious meals. Her loving heart, warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A funeral liturgy will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Saint John and Elizabeth Church in Grayson. A meal and time of gathering to celebrate Jonda’s life will follow immediately after at the church’s fellowship hall.
