Justin Reid Roberts, age 18, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away on September 19, 2025, due to injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident. Born on December 19, 2006, in Ashland, Kentucky, Reid was the beloved son of Lindsey Wilcox and Justin (Carrie) Roberts, both of Grayson.
Reid had an unwavering love for his family, which was evident in every interaction he shared. His strong work ethic and passion for electrical work led him to become a valued member of the IBEW Local 317, where he was employed at Precision Electrical Services. His colleagues admired his dedication and the joy he brought to the workplace.
Reid found joy in riding his dirt bike or anything that had wheels. He took great pride in his 1978 square body Chevy, often spending hours working on it and sharing his enthusiasm with friends and family. Reid also enjoyed trading truck wheels and shooting guns.
Reid is survived by his loving family, including his grandparents, Alvin (Joni) Wilcox, Ransom (Sharon) Roberts, and Johnny (Kathy) Wells; his cherished sister, Rayne Roberts, with whom he shared a special bond; his brother, Zaden Oney; and four uncles, Michael (Leigh) Wilcox, Joey (KaDawna) Wilcox, Jason Roberts and Chad (Heather) Rice. He is also survived by his great-grandfather, Walter Wilcox; his loyal basset hound, Max; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends who will deeply mourn his absence.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Zaden Oney, Jason Roberts, Michael Wilcox, Joey Wilcox, Chase Wilcox, Johnathan Baier, Brett Carra, and David Blair.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Wilcox Memorial Cemetery, located at 54 Wilcox Drive, Grayson, Kentucky 41143. United Baptist Elders Scott Baier, Rob Baier, Terry Marshall, and Ike Flaugher will officiate the service. Friends and family are invited to visit from 11:00 AM until the service hour.
