Katherine Renee “Sally” Tackett, 57, of Grayson went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving and caring family. Renee was born September 5, 1967 in Ashland, KY a daughter of the late Norman Meade and Emily Sue “Tootie” Stinnett Meade. In addition to her parents, Renee was preceded in death by a brother, Rubin Ray Meade. Renee was a member of Freedom Tabernacle Church for over 20 years where she loved to sing and praise her savior. Renee enjoyed cooking, drinking coffee, and visiting with family and friends. Renee had a caring heart and a welcoming spirit. Renee’s favorite saying was “Hey, Hey”. Renee is survived by a daughter; Vanessa Sue (Michael) Tackett Church of Ashland; a son, Tommy Ray Gene Tackett of Grayson; a brother, Hughie Jay Meade of Greenup; 3 grandchildren, Jacob Church, Gabriella Church and Logan Church; close family friends who were like family, Jennifer Adams and Destiny Goble; several nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends who all mourn her passing. Funeral service was held 1 pm Saturday March 15, 2025 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Matthew Adams and Destiny Goble officiating. Visitation was 11 am Saturday until the service hour.
