Kathy June Young, 72, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Kathy was born January 18, 1953, in Grayson, KY, to the late Harry and Rebecca Adams Young. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Melissa Ann Young and her sister-in-law, Vicki Young. Kathy’s survivors include one brother, Kevin Young of Grayson; three sisters, Paula (Paul) Stokes of Morehead, KY, Robin (Boyce) Lester and Lorrie (Rob) Handley of Webbville, KY; and one uncle, Jim (Drema) Adams of West Virginia. She was the favorite aunt of Kurt (Lauren) Young, Chris McDavid, Kevin (Nikki) Stokes, Travis Handley, Matthew (Micah) Stokes, Andrea Kelley, Karrie (Mike) Campbell and Anna Stokes. Additional survivors include eight great-nephews, five great-nieces and a host of cousins who loved her dearly. Kathy enjoyed stringing beads and drinking lots of coffee. Kathy’s family would like to thank the entire staff of the Horizon Village of Morehead, KY and Carter Nursing and Rehab of Grayson for caring and loving Kathy. Your kindness will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers, do an act of kindness in Kathy’s memory. Graveside services will be Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the East Carter County Memory Gardens with David Boggs, minister.
