Kenneth Mark Knipp, age 82, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday,
March 13, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born October 3, 1942, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late Paul and Eva Barker Knipp.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Rosa Ellen Bryant Knipp; one grandson, Dakota McDaniels; four brothers, Marvin Knipp, Curtis Knipp, Ralph Knipp and Lowell Knipp; three sisters, Ester Huntsman, Gaythal Bryant, Janet Roe and one daughter-in-law, Gloria Knipp.
Kenny was a member of Grahn Hill Freewill Baptist Church for 20 years and loved going to church. He enjoyed farming, hunting and spending time with his family.
Kenny is survived by one son, Steven Knipp of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; four daughters, Rosalie (Dewain) Woolum of Denton, Kentucky, Kimberly (Randy) McDaniels, Tericia Knipp, Tammy (Josh) Wicker all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; 6 grandchilden, Steven McDaniels, Andrew Conn, Kyle Conn, Matthew Deason, Michael Deason, Crystal Littleton; 5 great-grandchildren Gracie Holbrook, Brently Littleton, Westen Littleton, Ollie Conn and Avery Conn; one brother, Gary Knipp of Grayson, Kentucky; one sister, Maxine Roe of Olive Hill, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, March 17, 2025, at Grahn Hill Freewill Baptist Church in Grahn, Kentucky, with Brother James Taylor and Brother Jimmy Barker officiating. Burial will follow in Barker Cemetery on Cottonwood Lane in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit after 6 p.m., Sunday, March 16, 2025, with church service beginning at 7 p.m. and visitation after 9 a.m., Monday, March 17, 2025, until the service hour at Grahn Hill Freewill Baptist Church.
Matthew Deason, Andy Conn, Kyle Conn, Steven McDaniels, Ethan Barker and Brent Littleton will serve as pallbearers.
Michael Deason will serve as honorary pallbearer.
