Leah Grace Eldridge, age 8, of Grayson, Kentucky, was embraced by her Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 20, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love of her devoted family. Born on November 8, 2017, at UK Children’s Hospital in Lexington, Leah was the cherished daughter of Bonnie and Dustin Owens.
From the moment Leah entered the world, she faced extraordinary challenges, having been born with Nonketotic Hyperglycemia. Yet, with the unwavering love and care of her family, she surpassed every expectation set by her doctors, becoming a beacon of light and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Leah’s spirit, infectious smile, and strength inspired everyone around her, leaving a lasting impact on her community.
Alongside her parents, Leah is survived by her loving brothers, Dustin and Jack Owens; her sister, Harley Owens; and a wide circle of extended family and friends who supported her and cherished her throughout her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the NKH Crusaders Research and Patient Advocacy Organization, supporting continued research and advocacy for those affected by similar conditions.
