Leonard Franklin Gollihue
May 18, 1955 – July 1, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leonard Franklin Gollihue, 71, of Willard, who went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Born on May 18, 1955, in Willard, KY, Leonard was the beloved son of the late Beecher and Loraine Yates Gollihue.
Leonard was preceded in death by two cherished sons, Leonard Gollihue II and David Scott “Scotty” Gollihue; two brothers, James and Donnie Gollihue; as well as two nephews, David Church and Adam Gollihue; two nieces, Donna Louise Branham Canterbury and Kaitlyn Ballard; and a brother-in-law, Joe Church.
Leonard was known for his unwavering work ethic. A skilled carpenter with Local 472, he also dedicated many years to telecommunications installation. His passion extended to gardening, where he found joy in nurturing plants and sharing the fruits of his labor.
A devoted Christian, Leonard was a guiding light to many. He loved reading his Bible and sharing his testimony, inspiring all who came to know him. Currently, he served as the pastor at EK Mines Community Church, the very place where he grew up, and previously held the role of assistant pastor at John’s Run Tabernacle.
Leonard leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife of 45 years, Natalie Jean Cameron Gollihue; a daughter, Miranda (Robert) Mullins of Grayson; and three grandchildren, Aubrey, Carley, and Jayden Mullins. He is also survived by five brothers: Charles (Ann), Ellis (Connie), Jessie (Rosie), Eddie (Patty), and Ronnie (Michelle); three sisters: Louise Church, Gail (Jim) Colley, and Kathy (Frank) LeMaster, two sisters-in-law, Ruby Gollihue of Willard and Sandra Hornburg of Ashland; along with numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family and friends who deeply mourn his loss.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Robert Mullins, Charles, Ellis, Jessie, Eddie, and Ronnie Gollihue.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 12 Noon at Malone Funeral Home, with Bro. Delmar Rogers and Bro. Eric Clere officiating. Burial will follow at the Gollihue Family Cemetery in Willard. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday after 9:00 AM until the service hour at Malone Funeral Home.
