Lester Tony Cooper, 85, of Garrison, Kentucky, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025, at his residence.
Tony was born February 28, 1940, to the late Patrick Cooper and Garnet Osborne Clark.
Tony was of the Apostolic Faith. He was a logger and loved cutting trees, looking for pop cans, taking care of his horses, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Lynn Cooper; four brothers, Leo Cooper, Garland Cooper, Ernie Ray Cooper, James Homer Cooper; four sisters, Helen Govenor, Mearl Thorton, Alkine Cooper and Fay Lambert.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Ruth Marie Vanhoose Cooper; three sons, Lester Dean (Tammy) Cooper, Tony Lee (Roberta) Cooper, Paul Ray (Michael) Cooper all of Garrison, Kentucky; two daughters, Donna Kay Darlington (Herbie Coalgrove), Diane Caseman (George) all of Vanceburg, Kentucky; 7 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elwood Cooper of Garrison, Kentucky, Cowboy Cooper of Vanceburg, Kentucky; four sisters, Janie Lambert of Nevada, Ohio, Ruth Ann (Bill) Killum of Austin, Texas, Dollie Cooper and Bessie Holt both of Vanceburg, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Spyrun Cemetery with Brother Keith Blankenbeckley officiating.
