Linda Sue Nolen Carrington, age 74, of Garrison, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Southern Ohio Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born Friday, January 12, 1951 in Lewis County, Kentucky to the late Plummer Everett and Hazel Verna Logan Nolen.
Linda was of the Pentecostal Country Faith. She enjoyed watching Gunsmoke, listening to gospel music, drinking her coffee, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Edgar Haywood “Woody” Carrington, Jr., and one sister, Edith Nolen.
She is survived by two sons, David (Kelly) Carrington, of Carthage, Indiana, Daniel (Amanda) Carrington of Garrison, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Andy Carrington, Justin Carrington, Blake Stamper, and Mindy Stamper; four great-grandchildren, Gage Carrington, Kye Carrington, Taten Carrington, and Bryson Carrington; one brother, Kenneth (Annette) Nolen of Titiusvile, Florida; along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Globe Funeral Family Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue, Garrison, Kentucky, with Brother Daniel Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Nolen Family Cemetery on Laurel.
Family and friends may visit after 11:30 a.m.,Tuesday, January 6, 2026, until the service hour at Globe Family Funeral Chapel.
Andy Carrington, Justin Carrington, Blake Stamper, Taten Carrington, Bryson Carrington, and Gage Carrington will serve as pallbearers.
