Linda Sue Wills Lanthorn, age 73, of Maysville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Hospice of Hope Care Center at Kenton Pointe, in Maysville, Kentucky, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Monday, October 29, 1951, in Lewis County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Albert McCabe and Naomi Mae Mason Wills.
Linda was a member and secretary of Mt. Tabor Church. She loved Jesus, going to church and studying her Bible. She enjoyed playing Pay Me with her husband and sisters and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Christopher Donald Mineer; two sisters, Velma Gaffin and Cheryl Mason.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, David Lanthorn; two sons, Stanley Mineer of Maysville, Kentucky, David (Rainee) Lanthorn of Covington, Kentucky; one daughter, Shawna (Jeff) Irvin of Maysville, Kentucky; 5 grandchildren, Johnathon Mineer, ShaDawn Cropper, Kelsey Greene, MaKayla “Tater” Comer, Carrie Anne Bennett; four great-grandchildren, J.J., Natalie, Emerson and Kenley; four sisters, Janet (Robert) Parker of Vanceburg, Kentucky, Norma Cansler of Aberdeen, Ohio, Wilma Hargett of Maysville, Kentucky and Betty Jo (Herbie) Jordan of Vanceburg, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 Ky 57, Tollesboro, Kentucky, with Brother Sam Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Garden of Memories.
Friends may visit after 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 12, 2025, until the service hour at Tollesboro Funeral Home.
Stanley Mineer, Johnathon Mineer, Jonathan Cropper, Bryson Bennett, Kenton Comer and Joseph Greene will serve as pallbearers.
Jeff Irvin, Jimmy Teegarden and David Lanthorn Jr. will serve as honorary pallbearers.
