Lois Marlene White O’Cull, age 88, of Tollesboro, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Monday, May 5, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 18, 1936, in Dayton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clennie D. and Betty Geinger White.
Marlene was a member of Plumville Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, working in her flowers, reading, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, John Fleming O’Cull; three brothers, Clennie Darrell White, James White and Russell White.
Lois is survived by one son, John (Eugena) O’Cull of Vanceburg, Kentucky; two daughters, Christa O’Cull of Tollesboro, Kentucky, Kimberly (Stewart) Gordon of Union, Kentucky; 8 grandchilden, Chelcee (Jamie) Billman, Lance O’Cull, Brock (Cassa) O’Cull, Shauna (Larry) Spencer, Death (Chris) Dunaway, Bethany (Montana) Kern, Shelby (Ethan) Staley, Luke (Aury) Sparks; 9 great-grandchilden, Kainon Billman, Marlowe Billman, Cheyenne D’Souza, Henry O’Cull, Louie John O’Cull, Maddie Spencer, Peyton Spencer, Noah Dunaway, Grant Dunaway; one sister, Martha White Walker of Dayton, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Kim White of Newark, Ohio, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held 7 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2025, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57, Tollesboro, Kentucky, with her family officiating. A private graveside burial will be held at Lewis County Memory Gardens.
Friends may visit after 5 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2025, until the service hour at the Tollesboro Funeral Home.
Luke Sparks, Brock O’Cull, Montana Kern, Ethan Staley, Jamie Billman and Daniel Montelongo will serve as pallbearers.
Lance O’Cull, Kenny Sapp, Paul Redmond, Monroe Forman, Chris Dunaway, Larry Spencer, Noah Dunaway, Grant Dunaway, Peyton Spencer will serve as honorary pallbearer.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Hope-Maysville, Kentucky. Marlene’s family would like to thank her caregivers for their loyal support.
