Mary Lynn Brown, age 65, of Georgetown, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky.
She was born January 21, 1960, in Lewis County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Cecil Boyd Brown Sr. and Edith Elizabeth Knell Brown.
Mary Brown was a kind and loving soul. She loved to talk to friends and family. She also loved talking to her nephew Bob on Facebook Messenger almost everyday. She loved to reminisce about the good old days and loved to laugh and tell stories. Mary was a prayer warrior and loved the Lord with all her heart. Mary loved her animals, especially her two dogs Jumper and Scooby. She loved her children and spoke of them with smiles, but she lit up with pride when speaking of her 5 grand babies. Mary will be missed by everyone she ever knew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, James “Jim” Bob Brown, Marty Wayne Brown, Allen Ray Brown; three sisters, Imogene Stevenson, Norma Jean Powers, and Anna Lee Thomas.
She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Blair of Lexington, Kentucky; one brother, Douglas Wayne Blair; five grandchildren, Alexis Nicole Hackworth, Matthew David Hackworth, Kaden Douglas Blair, Andrew Hackworth, and Gabriella Marie Blair; one brother, Curly Brown of Garrison, Kentucky; three sisters, Violet Clark, Carolyn Ruth Smith and Betty Jo Henderson all of Vanceburg, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2025, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street, Vanceburg, Kentucky, with Brother Tony Corns officiating. Burial will follow in Armstrong Cemetery in Lewis County, Kentucky.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m., Monday, March 24, 2025, until the service hour, at Dickerson Funeral Home.
