Michael Porter, age 65, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the Community Hospice Center. Born on October 25 1960, in Grayson, KY. He was the son of the late Denver and Dolly Marshall Porter. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Ray Porter and Andy Porter.
Michael was very fond of NASCAR races, Kentucky basketball and a good homemade meal. One of his favorite things to do was to sit in his recliner with his pup, Buster Brown, and watch a good movie like ‘Gunsmoke’ or ‘Lonesome Dove.’
He is survived by his two daughters, Kate (Isaiah) Blankenship and Abby (Daniel) Barker, both of Olive Hill, KY, four amazing grandchildren, Caleb & Evan Blankenship and Silas & Sadie Barker, and his significant other, Marie Barker, of Ashland, KY. He is also survived by two brothers, Rick Porter of Ashland, and Gary Porter of Louisa, as well as his sister Ruth Ann Martin of Ashland. A host of extended family and friends will also mourn his passing.
There will be no services and interment will be at the Porter Family Cemetery.
