Molly B. Hughes Maddox
1959-2026
Molly Maddox, 66, of Catlettsburg, KY, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Saturday, February 28, 2026. A lifelong lover of horses and trail riding, Molly spent more than forty years living along Bear Creek and in Boyd County after moving from her childhood home in Garrett, KY. She is survived by her devoted husband of thirty-seven years, Gary Maddox.
Their farm and home were a true sanctuary, offering a safe haven to special dogs, deer, raccoons, and all of God’s wildlife.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gypsy Hughes of Ashland, KY.
She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her spirit and by all who never left her porch without feeling welcome.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister, Linda Vest of Sarasota, FL.
A memorial service may be conducted at a later date.
