Pearl Ellen McDavid Crum, 85, of Grayson, Kentucky, peacefully ascended to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Elliott County Nursing and Rehab Center in Sandy Hook, KY. Born on October 26, 1940, in Ashland, Kentucky, Pearl was the beloved daughter of the late George W. and Ada Oral Kitchen McDavid.
Pearl was preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Rita Kay Boggs Whitaker, and her siblings: four brothers, Ray, Ron L., Hughie, and Patrick Earl Watts McDavid; as well as two sisters, Thomasine Maley and Deanna Bowling.
A dedicated professional, Pearl thrived as a self-employed realtor and also contributed her talents to Ross, ReMax, and Johnson Realties. Her vibrant spirit shone brightly through her unwavering commitment to her community and her active membership at Stinson Church of Christ. Known for her outgoing nature, Pearl had a special knack for bringing joy to those around her, frequently sharing candy with everyone she met—a small gesture that reflected her generous heart. Pearl served her community on the City Council and the Building Commission.
Pearl’s legacy lives on through her son, Ron E. (Marie) Crum, Jr. of Grayson, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a vast circle of friends and extended family who will deeply miss her presence and warmth.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson, Kentucky, with Bro. Keith Sergent officiating. Burial will follow at East Carter County Memory Gardens. Friends and family are invited to visit from 11 AM until the service hour.
