Robert Allen Bond, 73, of Grayson, Kentucky, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the Boyd County Nursing and Rehab Center in Ashland. Born on May 17, 1952, in Louisa, Kentucky, he was the beloved son of the late Charles and Ethel Carroll Bond.
Bob was preceded in death by three brothers: William Lawrence Bond, Melvin Buford Bond, and Ronald Gene Bond, as well as two nephews, Billy Bond and Michael Bond. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, demonstrating a commitment and sacrifice that he carried with honor throughout his life.
In his professional life, Bob dedicated many years as a production associate at Calgon. Outside of work, he found joy in making music, often playing his banjo and singing heartfelt bluegrass songs. His passion for music brought people together and left a lasting imprint on the hearts of those who knew him.
Bob’s legacy lives on through his three sons: Neil (Shiryl) Bond of Orlando, Florida, and Jeff (Julie) Bond and Clint Bond, both of Las Vegas, Nevada. He is also survived by six cherished grandchildren: Tyson Bond, Riley Bond, Andrew Zidzik, Kasey Bond, Brady Bond, and Ella Bond. Additionally, he is remembered by his brother, Charles Patrick (Dorathy) Bond of Grayson, Kentucky, along with a host of friends and extended family who mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson, with Bro. Delmar Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast. Visitation will begin at 11 AM on Thursday until the service.
