Sarah Evelyn Hood Roberts, 84, of Elliott County, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, February 24, 2025 at her residence. Sarah was born March 16, 1940 in Carter City, KY a daughter of the late, George and Beulah McGlone Hood. In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 30 years, Scotty Gene Roberts in 1990; a son, Barry Wayne Roberts, a daughter, Michele Roberts Sexton; a grandson, Bobby Tussey; a brother, James Harmon Hood; and a sister, Linda Lou Hood. Sarah was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and friends. Sarah was a Christian and attended Abundant Harvest Church in Ashland. Sarah is survived by a daughter, Barbara (John) Fultz of Elliott County, KY; two sons, Scottie (Sherry) Roberts of Lincoln County, WV and Michael (Angie) Roberts of Ashland; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of friends and extended family who all mourn her passing. Funeral services will be 7 pm Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the Malone Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Fultz officiating. Visitation will be 5 pm Wednesday until the service hour.
