Sarah “Zethel” Blevins Gentry, 93, of Columbus, OH went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday January 26, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Zethel was born March 8, 1931 in Carter County, KY a daughter of the late, William “Curt” and Bertha Marie Carroll Blevins. In addition to her parents, Zethel was preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel Knipp, Cloral Henry and Linda Cummings; and five brothers, Oral Ray Blevins, Wayne Blevins, Jesse Blevins, Curtis Blevins and Johnny Blevins; a grandchild, Baby Evans; a great-grandson, Kaiden JR Evans; and two daughters-in-law, Carol Evans and Sunan Evans. Zethel was a Christian and a member of the Enterprise Baptist Church. Zethel retired form Salvation Army after 25 years working as a sorter. Zethel is survived by three sons, James Evans, Stanley Evans and Lige Evans all of Columbus; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchild; 2 great-great-grandchildren and two on the way; a sister, Juanita Ferguson of Grayson; three brothers, Clifford (Loretta) Blevins of Fraizer Flats, Tom (Vicki) Blevins and James “Ernie” (Jennifer) Blevins all of Grayson; a special family friend, William Snyder of Columbus, OH; and a host of friends and extended family who all mourn her passing. Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Bro. Scott Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the Blevins Family Cemetery in Williard.
