Tommy Elmer Tackett, 82, of Grayson, KY passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the UK King’s Daughters Medical Center. Tommy was born on Friday, February 12, 1943, in Grayson, KY a son of the late, Thomas and Hattie Baier Tackett. In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by siblings, Fordie Tackett, Clydie Tackett, Harlan Tackett, Eula Wright, Opal Hall, Leola Adams, Ward Tackett, Nellie Evans, Isabel Clay, Hobert Tackett, and Billy Tackett.
Tommy worked as a laborer and was a member of the Freedom Tabernacle Church.
Tommy is survived by two sons, Ricky (Lisa) Tackett of Hillsboro, KY and Tommy Ray Tackett of Grayson, KY; four daughters, Rena (Jerry) Lucas of Grayson, KY, Vicki (Tom) Cochran of California, Linda (Brent) Steele of Grayson, KY, and Vanessa (Michael) Church of Ashland, KY; two sisters, Betty O’Banion and Pearl Merrit both of Georgia; sixteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends that will mourn his passing.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson, KY with Bro. James Adams officiating.
