Wade Guy Greene, a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, peacefully departed this life on June 25, 2025, at the age of 80, surrounded by the love of his devoted wife, Chloe Martha Wells Greene, at their home in Webbville, Kentucky. Born on January 5, 1945, in Fielden, Kentucky, Wade was the cherished son of the late Guy and Jewell Blevins Greene.
Wade’s life was a testament to hard work and dedication. As a self-employed auto body repairman and a lifelong farmer, he poured his heart into everything he did. His passion for farming extended beyond the fields; he found joy in nurturing his garden and sharing the fruits of his labor with the community at the Farmer’s Market in Olive Hill. Wade’s commitment to his work was matched only by his love for his family and friends, who will forever remember him for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering support.
In addition to his parents, Wade was preceded in death by his in-laws, Harry and Malissa Wells, and a brother-in-law, Charles Riffe. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, including his beloved wife of 57 years, Chloe; his sister, Margie Riffe of Webbville; his brother, Dean (Vickie) Greene of Grayson; and his aunt, Donna Wolfe of Marion, Indiana. Wade was also a proud uncle to special nieces and nephews: Sandra Porter, Tammy Sharp, Missy Wilhoit, Michelle Stone, Malissa Branham, Kenzie Scott, and Brandon Greene, all of whom will miss him dearly.
Wade’s warmth and spirit touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by a host of extended family and friends who mourn his passing. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at 2 PM at the Malone Funeral Home, with Bro. Tim Porter and Bro. Tony Branham officiating. Burial will follow at the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 6-9 PM and on Sunday after 12 noon until the time of the service.
Pallbearers will include Dean Greene, Rupert Wilhoit, Brent Stone, Dustin Scott, Conner Stone, Riley Stone, Tony Branham, Henrry Wilhoit IIII, Hayden Scott, Harrison Scott, and Brandon Greene. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Holbrook, Greg Kiser, Floyd Gump, George Wells, Ronnie Oney, and Danny Oney.
